Alcon Career Center | San Francisco Fall Break Trip

Join Dr. Stacy Grau and Susan Sledge for a Fall Break trip to experience San Francisco and all this fast-paced, innovative city has to offer. We will experience the culture of the Bay area and visit companies that have a focus on Digital Marketing and Design Thinking.

 

Who:
Juniors or Seniors in the Neeley School of Business – all majors
Sophomores will be considered on a case by case basis after summer pre-registration period for Juniors and Seniors
2.9 GPA minimum
 

Itinerary:
Saturday, October 14 and Sunday, October 15
Morning flight from DFW to SFO or other Bay Area airport on Saturday (students welcome to go earlier, but trip programming will not begin until 2 pm on Saturday afternoon)

Meet up as a group in the afternoon to begin exploring the city. Weekend fun to include:

  • Visit to Alcatraz
  • Sailing excursion in San Francisco Bay
  • Alumni event with Horned Frogs living in Bay Area
  • Dinner as a group on Saturday

Monday, October 16 and Tuesday, October 17
Corporate site visits currently planned: Google, W2O Group, Facebook, Instagram, and IDEO.

Evening flight from SFO to DFW 

Program Fee
$600 for all Neeley students

Program fee includes the following:

  • Hotel accommodations
  • Transportation and expenses related to company and cultural visits 
  • Some meals

Airfare is not included in the program fee.

 

Application/Deadlines:

Registration Form

Monday, September 11 at 5pm
Deadline to submit registration form and payment.

All applicants will be accepted on a first come/first served basis and subject to approval. Trip will be limited to 22 students.  Full, non-refundable payment will be processed after registration form submitted and your payment will secure your place. NOTE: Do not book your airfare until you receive notice that you have been approved for the trip.
