Center for Supply Chain Innovation | Academics

Degrees
We focus on how the different elements of the supply chain work together. That’s the power of the supply chain paradigm. Supply chain students at TCU get insight into the customer side of supply chain —demand management and customer service — as well as the logistical side —global sourcing, purchasing, operations, production planning and processes.

Supply Chain Student Executive Program
Undergraduate supply chain majors can apply for five coveted spots to work for Alcon for two semesters. Those chosen spend the fall semester mapping a supply chain from the early stages of a product till it reaches the customer, and deliver recommendations to high-level Alcon executives on ways to improve the process. For the spring semester, the team works at Alcon three mornings a week on a value-added project.

MBA/MS Invitational Case Competition
Each year, the Center for Supply Chain Innovation hosts the MBA/MS Invitational Case Competition. Top graduate supply chain students at TCU and across the nation prove their knowledge in a 24-hour contest. Students go head-to-head as they vie for prize money in front of judges who are senior executives and talent acquisition managers from major corporations. More information.

Supply Chain Networking Events
We host several opportunities for students to meet supply chain professionals and broaden their knowledge of career options. Supply chain executives, recruiters and TCU alumni meet and greet with students at networking nights, round tables, panels, forums, in the classroom and on the job. Upcoming events.

Student Organization for Supply Chain Studies
The Center supports the TCU Student Organization for Supply Chain Studies to provide opportunities to further students’ personal career development through events, speakers, company tours and more.
