Professional Program in Accounting (PPA)

PPA Whitley Penn

Our Professional Program in Accounting (PPA) is designed to prepare undergraduate business students for the accounting profession. The PPA program helps you to develop the professional and leadership skills necessary to begin a rewarding career in accounting.

Our PPA Seminar class provides you the opportunity to develop your leadership skills and network with accounting professionals. This class helps prepare you for the internship recruiting process that occurs your junior year.

The PPA program provides a seamless pathway from our BBA program in Accounting to the successful completion of a Master of Accounting (MAc) degree.

Master of Accounting (MAc)

MAc hooding

The MAc program is a 30-hour, full-time program designed to refine your critical thinking and professional development.  Our program is completed in two consecutive semesters, generally with 15 hours per semester.  Additionally, the MAc program provides the additional hours beyond those required in a bachelors degree in accounting to take the CPA exam in Texas.

Our MAc program is a cohort program with classroom sizes averaging between 25-35 students per class.  Our small class sizes will not only enable you to get to know your professors, but you will also have the opportunity to build strong relationships with your peers that can translate to lifelong friendships and networking opportunities.

Service Learning

Our TCU students are involved in the Dallas/Fort Worth Community. We partner with organizations to benefit our students learning potential and to improve the community. For example, during the Spring 2016 semester, Risk and Controls students evaluated and recommended process improvements at the University United Methodist Church. If you are an entity in the Dallas/Fort Worth area that would like to partner with our undergraduate or graduate classes please contact Renee Olvera, our MAc Faculty Advisor.
