AACSB International Recognizes TCU Neeley for Innovation in Leadership Development

The BNSF Neeley Leadership program was honored in the Innovations That Inspire challenge for enhancing students’ ability to lead themselves, lead others and lead change in business and life.

In response to rapid global change, business schools are doing more than educating students about the ways of the world, they are educating them for a world that does not yet exist. Bold and innovative approaches to leadership development are key to their success. 

The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International) recognizes the TCU Neeley School of Business among 30 global institutions that are defining what it means to lead in the face of uncertainty and cultivating that skillset in the next generation of business leaders.

In the third annual Innovations That Inspire challenge, TCU Neeley was honored for the BNSF Neeley Leadership program in the category of “Enhancing Approaches to Leadership Education and Development. The three-year undergraduate program empowers students and transforms them into leaders in business and beyond through focused coursework, self-reflection, leadership coaching, experiential learning, and team collaboration.  

“We are committed to unleashing human potential with leadership at the core and innovation in our spirit, and the BNSF Neeley Leadership Program is a prime example of that,” said O. Homer Erekson, the John V. Roach Dean of the Neeley School of Business at TCU. “Students who apply and are accepted into the BNSF Neeley Leadership program participate in a three-year leadership development cohort experience with innovative academics and activities designed to enhance their ability to lead themselves, lead others, and lead change in business and life.”

AACSB’s Innovations That Inspire challenge recognizes business schools around the world that serve as champions of change in the business education landscape, especially innovation in leadership development, a key pillar of the accreditation process and one of five opportunities identified in AACSB’s collective vision for business education.
