For the fourth year in a row, the TCU BBA and MAc programs rank among the best in the nation in the Public Accounting Report’s annual ranking of accounting programs.

The TCU undergraduate accounting program ranks No. 19 and the TCU Master of Accounting (MAc) ranks No. 23 among all accounting programs of similar size, 17-23 full-time accounting faculty members.

The Public Accounting Report surveys accounting professors at colleges and universities throughout the United States for the ranking.

The success of the TCU accounting program shows. TCU MAc graduates boast exceptional pass rates for the Texas CPA exam, consistently placing in the top five schools in Texas. They also have a 98 percent placement rate at graduation.

Nine TCU MAc students in nine years have been selected to the prestigious positions of postgraduate technical assistants by the Financial Accounting Standards Board and the Governmental Accounting Standards Board. Only 12 students are chosen each year nationwide.

The TCU Professional Program in Accounting (PPA) provides a seamless transition from undergraduate studies to the 30-hour, full-time TCU MAc program, which hones accounting knowledge and refines students’ critical thinking, communication and leadership skills. It also provides the additional hours required to take the CPA exam in Texas. Students can declare a concentration in assurance services, taxation, advisory and valuation.
