Neeley Fellows Program And TCU Honors Program
The Neeley Fellows Program offers an alternative path for fulfilling part of the Honors Program requirements for business Honors students who are also enrolled in the Neeley Fellows Program.
Freshman Year There are no required classes for Neeley Fellows in the Freshman year. Honors Program students will take the required 6 hours from the traditional offering: Honors Western Civilization, Honors Latin American Civilization, Honors Asian Civilization, Honors Literature and Civilizations, Africa and the African Diaspora, or American Society.
Sophomore Year Business Honors students enrolled in the Neeley Fellows program will fulfill the Sophomore-level, Lower Division Requirements of the Honors Program by taking Fellows sections of any three of these Sophomore year courses:
- Financial Accounting
- Managerial Accounting
- Ethical Decision Making
- Marketing Management
Sophomore-level Fellows coursework will count toward the Honors Civilization Track as the three additional Honors classes (9 hours) to complete the necessary 15 hours.
Upper Classes Business Honors students enrolled in the Neeley Fellows program and taking Fellows sections of Organizational Management and Strategic Management will fulfill the Upper Division Requirements of the Honors Program for Interdepartmental Honors in Business.
- A Neeley Fellows section of Organizational Management will satisfy the seminar
requirement for the business Honor students in the Neeley Fellows.
- The capstone Strategic Management course offered over a Fall and Spring of the
Senior year will satisfy the Senior Honors Project requirement. Similar to a Senior Research Project course, students enrolled in the Strategic Management course will receive an I at the end of the Fall semester and continue their applied business research, creative efforts and writing into the Spring Semester.
Only Business Honors students completing the Neeley Fellows program would be eligible for TCU Interdepartmental Honors in Business. Neeley Fellows who are not part of the Honors program and who complete the same coursework are eligible solely for Neeley Fellows distinctions upon graduation, since Freshman-level coursework in the Honors Program were not completed.
Business Honors students completing the Neeley Fellows program are bound by the GPA and other requirements of the Honors Program in order to graduate with the Interdepartmental Honors in Business.
