Master of Accounting (MAc)

Since you need additional classes beyond your BBA to sit for the CPA exam, it makes sense to use those courses to get a Master of Accounting (MAc) degree. In just two extra semesters, accounting majors can earn a Master of Accounting (MAc) degree, meet the 150-hour requirement to sit for the CPA exam in Texas and fine-tune the business skills necessary to succeed in an accounting career.

What’s a CPA and why do I want to be one?

CPA stands for Certified Public Accountant, and you become one by passing the Uniform Certified Public Accountant Examination and meeting other state requirements. Having a CPA means you can pursue a career in public accounting, giving you more career options.
