Why pursue my MBA?
My career was at a standstill and any position I looked at that would challenge me and help me grow had an MBA prerequisite. It was apparent to me that I needed the degree to take my career to the next level.

My journey.

Supply Chain Concepts with Dr. Zach Zacharia introduced me to the world of supply chain management and the many amazing opportunities in procurement, transportation and logistics management. It completely changed my job search and career aspirations. Similarly, Operations Management with Dr. Tyson Browning opened up a whole new world for me. While I was aware of operations management, I didn't think I had the aptitude or knack for it. Dr. Browning helped me realize how wrong I was. I learned it was a field I could enjoy and even excel in.

Beyond the classroom, our Alcon Consumer Behavior and Inventory Management Analysis Project reiterated the fundamental link between marketing and supply chain management. I knew I was interested in both fields, and this project showed me how closely linked they are, how strategic and tactical initiatives in marketing must be supported by related endeavors in the supply chain and vice versa.

Finally, my experience at TCU wouldn't have been half as challenging and enjoyable if it wasn't for the wonderful team I worked with during my second year. We came together during the Alcon project and found such a good rhythm that we stayed together for the rest of the year, working on a variety of projects for many different classes. We even became our own job search support group, and have continued to stay in touch and support each other now that we are all out in the workplace.
