This roundtable format enables you to meet with first-year MBA students in a relaxed setting. Students learn more about career options and identify companies where they hope to intern, while employers appreciate getting to know internship candidates personally. Often, the seeds for job offers two years away are planted at START.
Industry-specific Employer Roundtables offer one-on-one interview opportunities in finance, marketing and supply chain.
Students undertake consulting projects for corporate clients ranging from marketing to real estate to supply chain. Teams leverage coursework concepts and work experience to review and evaluate an opportunity, challenge or concern that is key to the client's larger strategic/operational decision-making.
In the business world, problems don't come in tidy packages. Effective business professionals must draw from many disciplines to make sound, strategic decisions. The Integrative Project requires students to do just that. At the end of their first semester, students tackle a week-long computer-based simulation. Circumstances change throughout the week, and new information is added, so teams must react and adapt. At the end of the week, each team must convince a panel of industry recruiters that their plan solves the problem at hand and makes the most of the opportunities ahead. The Integrative Project is an excellent opportunity to see students in action.
Employers at these seminars offer Neeley MBA students a view from the other side of the table. Students learn about company research, resume review, interviewing, networking and the entire hiring process - all from an employer perspective.
