One of the exciting benefits that the Neeley Fellows Program offers is the opportunity to travel. During the Spring Break of the Sophomore year, Neeley Fellows get to travel as a group to New York City and during the Spring/Summer of the Junior year, they have an opportunity to take Cross-Cultural Management and travel to Santiago, Chile.
Santiago, Chile
During the Summer of 2007, 26 Fellows traveled to Santiago, Chile for a 7-day trip as a part of for Cross-Cultural Management to gain a better understanding of the global economy. The students participated in several lectures from Universidad Mayor business faculty, Chilean business executives, and U.S. expatriates on:
The Fellows’ exposure to the country also included participation in events, such as:

“I have expanded my horizon. We had a journey together and individually that taught me about myself, my friends, and the rest of the world. It is sometimes hard to imagine life outside of America, and we often forget there is a whole world out there beyond our borders. I am glad that I learned about other people’s way of life, and am also happy to find that we truly are not all that different from each other. What a wonderful experience with an amazing company – a journey I will never forget!”
New York City
During the Spring of 2008, 27 Fellows visited NYC for four days to get a better understanding of the U.S. economy. They toured:
They all attended a taping of Conan O’Brien and visited businesses such as Goldman Sachs, UBS, Outdoor Media Group, Tommy Hilfiger, Bloomberg, AEA Investors. The Fellows also got to network with the Neeley Alumni in NYC at a social event held at The View Lounge in the Marriott Marquis on Times Square.
