The Neeley Entrepreneurship Center supports the academic mission of the entrepreneurship program at TCU through support of our faculty’s internationally recognized scholarship. In addition, two members of the center staff teach in the entrepreneurship program. Currently David Minor, the William M. Dickey Entrepreneur in Residence teaches a course titled “Managing the Emerging Venture”. NEC Director, Brad Hancock teaches a course titled “Energy and Entrepreneurship”. Courses are designed to build the skills, capabilities and confidence of prospective entrepreneurs, whether their careers take them to startup ventures, small businesses, non-profit organizations, franchises or large corporations. Graduate Studies – Entrepreneurship Concentration For MBA students, career area concentrations provide the opportunity to increase proficiency in a specific field. Each MBA student identifies the combination of courses needed to develop the knowledge and skill sets essential to the entrepreneurial career path.

Faculty
The faculty of the Neeley Entrepreneurship Program are an esteemed group of scholars who truly live the teacher/scholar mission of TCU. All undergraduate and graduate courses are taught by these scholars and the practitioners in the Neeley Entrepreneurship Center. There are no graduate assistants who teach in the program. The Academic Coordinator of the Neeley Entrepreneurship Program is Dr. Garry Bruton. Dr. Bruton is known throughout the field as one of the top entrepreneurship scholars in the country. Click here for Dr. Bruton’s bio. In addition to Dr. Bruton we have three other scholars whose research focus is entrepreneurship. They include Dr. Keith Hmieleski, Dr. Curt Moore, and Dr. Jon Carr. The balance of the courses in the entrepreneurial management major are taught by our colleagues in the Department of Management.
