The Neeley Entrepreneurship Center staff is led by Director Brad Hancock and includes: William M. Dickey Entrepreneur in Residence, David Minor; Administrative Assistant, Glenda Laney; and Program Director, Sheryl Doll. Brad Hancock – Director Brad is the Director of the Neeley Entrepreneurship Center at Texas Christian University. Brad graduated from the University of Kentucky with a B.B.A. in 1979 and earned his M.B.A from Columbia University in 1983. Prior to joining TCU Brad was a management consultant with Paragon Consulting Group and Cleveland Consulting Associates for ten years. He was also a successful entrepreneur and has harvested two ventures: a multi-unit franchise of Sylvan Learning Centers and a company he started in 2000, Paragon Senior Care. Paragon was recognized as one of the Small Business of the Year finalists in 2005. Brad works on a variety of our student programs and outreach programs. He also teaches a course called “Energy and Entrepreneurship." Brad is active in the Rotary Club of Fort Worth, serves on the Program and Services Committee of the North Central Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association and sits on several committees and boards of First United Methodist Church of Fort Worth. David Minor David is the William M. Dickey Entrepreneur in Residence. David joined TCU in 2000 as the founding Director of the Neeley Entrepreneurship Center. Prior to joining TCU David was the President and CEO of Minor’s Landscape Services, a company he founded in 1980 which became an INC 500 award winning enterprise and one of the largest and most respected in the landscape industry. In 1998 David harvested his business and teamed with ServiceMaster, Inc. to consolidate the industry nationwide. As a Vice President of this newly formed landscape division David helped lead the acquisitions and integration efforts of over 550 million dollars in landscape division revenues. David teaches a course to TCU students titled “Managing the Emerging Venture”. He continues to invest in businesses through his company Minor and Associates, Inc. and frequently speaks at conferences and seminars across the country. David serves on the board for Tech Fort Worth, Diamond H Recognition, Inc., and The Landscape Partners Ltd. David is a former winner of the Tarrant County Entrepreneur of Distinction award, was recognized as the landscape industry's Professional of the Year, and has been named by Entrepreneur Magazine as one of the top ten entrepreneurship center directors in the country. Glenda Laney – Administrative Assistant Glenda joined the Neeley Entrepreneurship Center at it’s inception in 2000. She was previously the Administrative Assistant for Mr. Minor at their previous company; Minor’s Landscape Service and has worked with David for over 20 years. Glenda works in some capacity on all programs that the Neeley Entrepreneurship Center delivers. Sheryl Doll – Program Director Sheryl has been with the Neeley Entrepreneurship Center since 2003. She was formerly the Assistant Director of the Charles Tandy American Enterprise Center here in the Neeley School of Business and before that she was with IBM. Sheryl manages the highly successful TCU Texas Youth Entrepreneur of the Year Awards Program and also supports many of the center activities. |
