TCU CEO Chapter Named Best In The Nation
TCU CEO officers, national elevator pitch competitors and club members represented the Neeley school in stellar fashion at the CEO National Convention in Chicago. The TCU chapter was recognized with:
“Mack Haisten has been an incredible president, and, along with the other officers, has made this a wonderful year for TCU CEO,” said Brad Hancock, Director of the Neeley Entrepreneurship Center.
TCU was the only university with more than one student competing in the National Elevator Pitch Competition. Three TCU students competed against 60 students from universities around the country, and two, Ryan Fleisch and Gentry Robinson, finished in the top 10.
In addition to participating in the conference and competitions, TCU CEO officers led several Chapter Development Sessions to help new chapters learn how to build and grow clubs on their campus.
The night before the conference began, TCU CEO leaders met with Chicago alumni, hosted by Tom Meagher, Neeley International Board of Visitors member, at the offices of Grosvenor Capital Management.
“Everyone at the alumni meeting were mightily impressed by our students,” Brad said. “We hope this networking event will become standard during our annual trip to the CEO National Convention and that it will grow to include even more Neeley School alumni and students."
Brad thanks the Center for Professional Communication (CPC), specifically Assistant Director Tracy Williams, who prepared the students who were in competitions and accompanied them to Chicago to help them up to the moment they took the stage; Glenda Laney, who coordinated all the logistics and planning to get everyone to Chicago and back; and Sheryl Doll, Program Manager for the Texas Youth Entrepreneur of the Year Program, who accompanied the group to Chicago.
