Experience business in two diverse global business centers: Mumbai, India and Dubai, UAE. This course is designed to examine how businesses address and find opportunities in contrasts. Both countries have internal contrasts caused by large income inequalities. The countries also contrast with each other and the US. UAE is an absolute monarchy and an Islamic state. India is a secular democracy and primarily Hindu. UAE is rich in natural resources with a small population; India is resource poor with a large population. The course's pre-trip classes will meet on campus before we travel to Mumbai and Dubai to explore cultural sites and businesses pertaining to supply chain, analytics, marketing and financial services.
