Professional Program in Accounting (PPA)

PPA group walking

Our Professional Program in Accounting (PPA) is designed to prepare undergraduate business students for the accounting profession. The PPA program helps you to develop the professional and leadership skills necessary to begin a rewarding career in accounting.

Our PPA Seminar class provides you the opportunity to develop your leadership skills and network with accounting professionals. This class helps prepare you for the internship recruiting process that occurs your junior year.

The PPA program provides a seamless pathway from our BBA program in Accounting to the successful completion of a Master of Accounting (MAc) degree.

Master of Accounting (MAc)

MAc hooding

The MAc program is a 30-hour, full-time program designed to refine your critical thinking and professional development.  Our program is completed in two consecutive semesters, generally with 15 hours per semester.  Additionally, the MAc program provides the additional hours beyond those required in a bachelors degree in accounting to take the CPA exam in Texas.

Our MAc program is a cohort program with classroom sizes averaging between 25-35 students per class.  Our small class sizes will not only enable you to get to know your professors, but you will also have the opportunity to build strong relationships with your peers that can translate to lifelong friendships and networking opportunities.

We strive to increase awareness of existing opportunities and support while creating new ones. Students connect over shared experiences such as passing classes, taking professional exams, and finding internships and jobs. They develop a powerful network of professionals in the Fort Worth chapter and across the country who are happy to work with students to build their future.

TCU Accounting Career Awareness Program

We partnered with the National Association of Black Accountants to bring the Accounting Career Awareness Program to Fort Worth on the TCU campus to bridge the opportunity gap for African American high school students and other minority students. Students spend one week on the TCU campus over the summer, getting a taste of the college experience and learning more about careers in accounting and finance. And it’s all free.
