Poets & Quants reached out to the top 50 undergraduate business schools to compile this year’s Best & Brightest students.
TCU Neeley Seniors James Griffin and Taylor Huang are featured for their academic excellence, leadership, character, potential, personal narrative and impact on the program.
“They are role models who embody the spirit of their school, demonstrate the possibilities and set the standard for classes to follow,” said Jeff Schmitt, Poets & Quants’ senior writer.
Griffin and Huang are featured in profiles discussing their proudest achievements, favorite professors, lessons learned, advice and more.
Griffin is a finance major and Neeley Fellow. He interns at Luther King Capital Management in Fort Worth and will move to New York City after graduation to work for Credit Suisse. He said that TCU Neeley’s “pay it forward” spirit surprised and inspired him. “From the day I became part of the TCU Neeley School of Business, I was embraced by older students, faculty and staff. People with more experience than me expressed a sincere interest in my success and happiness. I hope to make the same kind of impact on students younger than me by the time I graduate, and into the future.”
Huang is an entrepreneurial management major and BNSF Neeley Leader who has already founded several successful companies. In his article he says his mother influenced him to pursue business in college. “After my father passed away, my mother had to take a risk to start a business to have enough financial capability to raise me. My mother has always been a great business operator and manager. She is the one who inspired me to be a better businessman so I can help her.”
