Dive into the World of Data

Ever wonder how Amazon knows what you want to buy or why your social media feed includes advertisements for items you’re interested in purchasing? How are Instagram and Twitter such profitable companies when they provide free services? How does your insurance company predict your driving behavior? The answer – data. It’s everywhere, and if you understand data and the inner workings of companies’ use of data, then you’re ahead of the game and ready for any career path.

The TCU Neeley School of Business hosts a highly competitive, one-week summer residential program for high school students entering 11th or 12th grade, providing a hands-on experience with opportunities to learn and hone your skills in data analytics and market research. Led by two outstanding instructors, students will engage in six hours of learning each day, building models to explore business performance and discovering how data can impact profitability. In addition to the immersive learning experience, participants will also have the opportunity to explore the beautiful campus of TCU and enjoy the exceptional amenities. More than 80 high school students from across the country explored the fast-paced world of data at the 2024 TCU Neeley Analytics Academy. The one-week summer residential program offered hands-on learning to sharpen their skills in data analytics and market research. Students received expert guidance in identifying, collecting and analyzing data, participated in team projects, and enjoyed fun activities in Fort Worth. Apply to our application, opening February 3 for our 2025 Analytics Academy, taking place July 13-18, 2025.

How You'll Benefit

Explore statistical programs, data-driven storytelling and data visualization
You’ll gain a better understanding of how to collect, examine, organize, visualize and present data, learning to transform raw data into powerful, effective communications that drive decision making.
Understand modeling techniques, machine learning and artificial intelligence
You’ll learn how to leverage clustering and classification algorithms, regression analysis and other methods to evaluate complex data, find patterns and trends, make predictions and deliver results.
Earn a Data Analytics Certificate
You’ll receive a certificate of completion from TCU Neeley at the end of the program!
A week of college life at TCU
You’ll spend a week on campus with other high school students in the beautiful city of Fort Worth, living in residence halls and learning from top-ranked professors from the business school. You’ll have the opportunity to enjoy extracurricular activities, dinners and more on and around campus.

How to Apply

Take the first step in becoming a valuable data analytics expert. The application for the 2025 summer program will be available February 3, 2025. The deadline is April 11, 2025.

Requirements

  • Strong math skills
  • Scholastic achievement
  • Leadership
  • Motivation and interest in analytics and problem solving
  • Be a rising Junior (Class of 2027) or Senior (Class of 2026) in high school

Application Process

  • Complete the 2025 application form by April 11, 2025.
  • Provide a copy of your high school transcript with your application.
  • Provide a letter of recommendation from a teacher or counselor on why you'd be a perfect fit for this program.
  • Include a personal statement (250-500 words) about your interest in the academy.

We will notify you of our decision no later than May 19, 2025.

Program Cost

  • Application fee is $10. If accepted, this will count towards the total program cost.
  • Total cost is $1,800 and covers room, board, instructional costs, entertainment, recreation facilities, etc. We recommend that you bring a limited amount of spending money for miscellaneous expenses while on campus.
  • The entire program fee is due no later than May 26, 2025.
  • Need-based scholarships are available on a limited basis for qualified students.
  • If cancellation is requested by an accepted student, we will issue a 50% refund of total program cost up until three weeks after acceptance (June 3, 2025). Anything after that will be nonrefundable.
