Join your classmates and MBA faculty and staff for programming designed to help you get to know each other while setting the tone for your MBA experience. You will have a professional headshot taken, so attire is business professional.
Aug 3-16 START Workshop
Required for all incoming full-time MBA students, this immersive onboarding experience prepares you for all aspects of life as an MBA student. Sessions will take place on campus, beginning at 8:00 a.m. each day. You will enroll in fall classes and participate in a friendly case competition as part of START Workshop.

May 15 Academic Advising & Class Enrollment
During the month of May, please email Bianca Upshaw at b.j.upshaw@tcu.edu, Graduate Academic Advisor, to arrange a 1:1 academic advising appointment focused on preparing you for fall class enrollment. Following this meeting, which can take place virtually or in person, you will receive detailed instructions regarding enrollment for summer and fall classes.

June 17 Marketing Fundamentals Course Launch

Jun 5-9 Tech Boot Camp (In-person, On campus)
This course is a survey course, introducing a range of programming tools and modeling techniques. No technical knowledge is assumed on the part of the student. Specifically, we will use the Python scikit-learn library via Jupyter notebooks and several R packages through the RStudio IDE. Through these tools, we will explore functions for unsupervised machine learning and supervised learning models. We will also explore artificial intelligence via functions for neural nets.

To help you “hit the ground running” when classes begin, you will be asked to complete the Harvard Business Schools Quantitative module.  This module is designed to give you the base of knowledge necessary to be productive in your classes.

This module is required. You are expected to have a working knowledge of statistics on the first day of class.

The Harvard Business School Quantitative Methods module is a required prerequisite for INSC 60010, Statistical Models. You must be a deposited student and complete the module prior to the start of INCS 60010.

The estimated time to complete the module is 20-40 hours.
