Mentorships

We provide graduate students with an avenue to build mentor/mentee relationships through conversations with experienced energy professionals. These relationships will help students develop leadership abilities, get outside their comfort zone and grow through honest feedback.

Internships

Undergraduate students who find internships in the energy industry can receive 3 credits (P/NC) towards the energy minor. There are no class meetings or exams.

Course: ENTM 40903 Energy Internship (any semester including summers)

Guidelines and Requirements

  1. At least a 2.5 GPA in major.
  2. At least junior standing.
  3. To register in the course, you must attain a permit showing the internship is approved and will include a minimum of 260 work hours.
  4. The work must take place during the time you are enrolled in this course.
  5. Keep a weekly log/journal of work activities, signed by your employer.
  6. Write an 8–12-page paper about the internship experience.
  7. Paper and journal due the Wednesday before study days or at the end of summer.
  8. You may only take this internship course one time for credit in the energy minor.
