Congratulations to the current accounting faculty and staff who received promotions, and the new additions to the Accounting Department. Whether the faculty and staff have been recognized for their academic accomplishments or are joining Neeley for the first or second time, we look forward to witnessing the impact their work will have on future generations.
Promotions
Anne Albrecht – Associate Professor with tenure
Amy Troutman – Instructor II
Maia Kelton – Instructor II
Janice Cobb – Instructor III
Laurie Wood – Instructor III
Connie Lamirand – Assistant Director for Master of Accounting (MAc) and Professional Program in Accounting (PPA)
New Faculty
Sandy Callaghan – Associate Professor, who returned to the Accounting Department this fall after serving seven years as the director of TCU Global. Callaghan ’88 is also an alumna who earned her Master of Accounting at the University of Texas at Austin and PhD at Michigan State University.
Tyler Menzer – Assistant Professor, who joined the Accounting Department after completing his PhD at the University of Iowa in May 2024. Menzer’s primary area of teaching and research is taxation and cryptocurrency.
New Adjunct Professors
Ted Vaughn, Adjunct Professor, who retired last year from BDO USA as a partner. Vaughn brings more than 30 years of professional experience in accounting to the classroom and he is also a lifelong learner. Vaughn is also currently a student in the TCU Neeley Executive MBA program.
Trevor Tramison, Adjunct Professor, who joined us after a one-year stint with the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, a non-profit corporation created to oversee the audits of U.S.-listed public companies. Tramison ’22 (MAc ’23) is an alumnus who returned to campus to teach.
Harrison Benedict, Adjunct Professor, who has worked as a financial analyst and wealth advisor associate. Benedict ’21 (MAc ’22) is a two-time Horned Frog.
