Center for Real Estate Director James Hill Elected to Dallas Fed Board

In addition to his leadership role as a director, James Hill is a finance professor in the TCU Neeley School of Business, industry expert, public official and an active volunteer with multiple North Texas programs.

James HillJames Hill ’06 MBA, director of TCU Neeley’s Center for Real Estate, was elected to the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas board of directors by its member banks. In this role, Hill will provide insight into the region’s economy in support of the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy function.

“I’m honored to have been elected to serve on the board of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas,” Hill said. “Given my role at TCU and many years in finance and real estate, I’m excited to contribute to an organization that drives monetary policy and economic stability for our region and our nation.”

Hill also serves as an instructor in the finance department of TCU Neeley.

Roach Dean of the Neeley School of Business. “A key factor is that our faculty are connected to the community and have leadership roles in their industries, which keeps them actively engaged in today’s business environment. We are proud to have James serving with the Dallas Fed.”

Each Federal Reserve Bank has a nine-member board of directors. Three members represent commercial banks, three represent the public, and three are appointed by the Board of Governors in Washington, D.C. Hill will serve the remaining portion of an unexpired term through Dec. 31, 2024.

He is principal of James Hill Consulting and previously served as executive vice president and chief strategy officer for AccessBank Texas, and as vice president, senior vice president and executive vice president at Texas Capital Bank.

Hill serves on the boards of the Tarrant Regional Water District, North Texas Commission and Fort Worth Club. He also is a member of the Fort Worth Country Day School Building and Grounds Committee, Texas Wesleyan University President’s Advisory Council, Greater Fort Worth Real Estate Council Founder’s Council and Fort Worth Stock Show Syndicate.
