March is National Women’s History Month and March 8th is International Women’s Day. To celebrate both occasions, the TCU Neeley Management and Leadership Department in collaboration with Neeley’s Graduate Program developed an event titled, Women in the Workplace, to learn from a panel of female executives leading the way in industries ranging from engineering and banking to design and construction.
The panel included: Laura Miller, President of Veritex Community Bank
Rosa Navejar, President of The Rios Group, Inc.
Amy Phipps, Vice President for GL Seaman & Company
In recognition of the monthlong recognition and International Women’s Day, the inaugural event focused on the theme – Inspire Inclusion.
In addition to hearing from an expert panel that offered thoughtful insights, the attendees also had the opportunity to network to build a broader connection to women in business. To close of the event, guests were gifted purple TCU bandanas and encouraged to wear them on International Women’s Day in solidarity.
