What brought you to TCU?
SK: TCU is a very meaningful place for my entire family. My parents attended and met at TCU. My older sister attended TCU and graduated last year, and my younger brother is a junior. It has been such an incredible experience to have my siblings here during my time at TCU and to share so many memories with my family.
What have you enjoyed most about being a Horned Frog?
SK: I have enjoyed every aspect of being a Horned Frog, but if I had to pinpoint one aspect in particular it would be the sense of community and quality of the people on campus. From the amazing friends I have met, the thoughtful professors and truly anyone else I have crossed paths with, my experience has been so positive. I have consistently felt at home on campus. This has led me to feel comfortable stepping outside of my comfort zone and seeking out amazing opportunities on and off campus.
What are your plans after graduation?
SK: After graduation, I will begin training for my job as an investment banking analyst at Bank of America virtually due to COVID-19 restrictions. I am hoping to be able to work from the office in Chicago by the fall, as I am eager to meet my fellow co-workers and gain the full work experience.
How did TCU help prepare you for your future career?
SK: Without a doubt, TCU is to thank for much of the success I have been able to have regarding my future career. I have been able to secure a competitive job that I am very excited about. Specifically, the Transaction and Investment Professionals (TIP) Board Program at TCU, Jessica Cates and the mentors whom I have been connected with have been invaluable to my success. The guidance and advice I have received motivated me to pursue things that were challenging and exciting. If it were not for this program, I can say that I would not be where I am today. My professors have also served a large part in preparing me and helping me to understand complex material to the best of my ability.
Was there any particular experience that was especially helpful?
SK: While at TCU, I interned for both Crestline Investors and Luther King Capital Management. These experiences have complemented each other and provided me with different perspectives. The employees I have been connected with through these internships have taught me so much, and I am very grateful for these opportunities and role models. Serving as a portfolio member for TCU’s Educational Investment Fund has been a very beneficial learning experience as well and provided me with hands-on experience that will be similar to that in my career. Dr. Larry Lockwood and my fellow peers have created a strong group where we challenge and teach each other each week.
What makes TCU so special to you?
SK: TCU is so special because it is a second home to me and has led me to grow so much as not only a student, but as a person. My friends, professors and acquaintances at TCU have had such a positive impact on my life and have served as an amazing example for me in every way. The memories I have made at TCU are some of the best memories of my life, and I would not change any part of my experience. It will forever be a place that has left a mark on me, and I will always attribute my success to TCU.

What brought you to TCU?
MM: My sister attended TCU for a few years before me and I got the chance to come to the parents’ weekends while I was in high school. After being on campus for only a few days, I felt like I was at home. I felt comfortable on campus, and everyone I met seemed like an incredible person.
What have you enjoyed most about being a Horned Frog?
MM: I think that throughout my time as a Horned Frog, the most enjoyable aspect has been my fellow students. I have met and spent time with so many incredible people. They are some of the most passionate, disciplined, supportive and fun people I have ever met, and I would have never gotten the chance to know them if it weren’t for my time at TCU.
What are your plans after graduation?
MM: I will be moving to Charlotte, North Carolina, and be working for Microsoft as an Azure sales specialist.
How did TCU help prepare you for your future career?
MM: I think the Neeley School has done a phenomenal job preparing me for my full-time career. Dynamic, team-based classrooms helped me feel prepared for office teams. I especially need to give credit to Neeley Fellows for my professional development. Without that program, I would not feel nearly as prepared for my career as I do.
Was there any particular experience that was especially helpful?
MM: The Neeley Fellows program has been the single most impactful experience for me at TCU. The faculty and staff have helped me immensely, and all of my fellow classmates have helped me along the way as well.
What makes TCU so special to you?
MM: TCU is special to me because it is where I met my lifelong friends. The relationships that I formed while at TCU will stay with me for the rest of my life, and I am so thankful for that.
