18 months of “aha” moments.

Take a deep breath. Forget all the hype and corporate buzzwords you’ve heard in your search for the right MBA. Take a little trip through the highlights of the Neeley program. Find out what it’s really like.

Executive education is totally different.

Remember undergrad school? This isn’t like that.

Peer learning

This isn’t one professor droning out facts to a bunch of drowsy kids. It’s more like a business think tank.

You put 30 smart business leaders in a room with one passionate professor? Magic happens.

The professor is explaining concepts that make everything you’ve learned on the job in the last few years suddenly click into place. Hands are shooting up. Eyes are lighting up. The oil and gas guy next to you says something you totally relate to; the non-profit woman in the back gives you an idea for your marketing strategy.

That’s how it is here. Every. Single. Class.

One-on-one leadership coaching

One-on-one leadership coaching. No, it’s not like a meeting with your guidance counselor. It’s about getting to the heart of what you’re good at, and what you need to improve – including how to improve – based on feedback from the people you actually work with, analyzed by a leadership expert who takes the time to get to know you.

Concierge service. Gone are the days of scrambling to get all your books, supplies and syllabi together. We collect the materials you need and deliver them to you in the classroom. All you have to do is show up.

Meet your classmates

... and their families. Walk into a classroom full of strangers. Walk out of a classroom full of close friends, lifelong contacts, and maybe even business partners.

You’ll learn tons from your professors and your books. But you’ll learn even more from your classmates. That’s the added value of the Neeley Executive MBA program – you get a greater breadth of perspective and a greater understanding of context, in a more intimate setting, than you would with less experienced classmates in a basic MBA program.

The entire class takes the same courses at the same time – a “lockstep cohort” design that helps you build lasting relationships. Our alumni are constantly saying they know they can call any of their classmates any time if they need anything. Even their families are known to become close friends, especially thanks to events like the summer family picnic and the holiday party.

Three things you should expect

Every class is a little different, because each one has a different group of students, but there are three traits of our Neeley program you can count on no matter what.

Personal

No cookie cutters. No strangers.
From getting close to your classmates to getting personal attention from your professors, to digging deep with one-on-one leadership coaching, Neeley is personal in so many ways. And while every class gets the same vital curriculum, faculty approach that curriculum based on each group of students and the unique issues you face in your daily work.

Connected

Exchanging business cards at cocktail parties only goes so far.
Neeley really plugs you in. Not only are you going to become close to 30-35 leading business professionals from a variety of industries, you’ll be grafted into TCU’s global network of influential alumni, faculty and business executives.

Real

“I’ll never use this,” said none of our students ever.
Our curriculum is based on time-tested principles and the latest research set in a global context. Our professors consult for major companies, and your classmates are all working full time, just like you are. That all adds up to a relevant education you’ll actually use, every day, before you even graduate. Class starts on Friday. ROI starts on Monday.

Balancing school with everything else

Suzanne West, Vice President of Finance, Beechcraft Defense Company, Textron Aviation, Class of 2013

Single parents, chemo patients and students commuting from other states have all successfully completed the program. If they can, you can.

Take a break from other activities.
Remember, the program is only 18 months; you may have to sacrifice some other activities during that time, but it’ll be well worth it. Our graduates have even said they actually miss coming to class.

Talk with your family and employers.
Help them understand that, though you might miss some Saturday soccer practices or Friday board meetings, it’s only temporary.

Rely on your Neeley teammates.
Team-based learning means students can take turns leaning on each other for project support when personal or professional life requires extra attention.

Reaping your rewards

Jeff Montgomery, VP Lending, Pinnacle Bank, Class of 2013

Though this program is a big investment, remember that it is an investment. You will get more out of it than you put in.

ROI starts Monday.
Students constantly talk about how they are using skills and knowledge learned in class in their daily work.

Open doors.
Many students receive raises and promotions before they even graduate.

Valuable connections.
Our students also rave about the lifelong friendships they form in the program, and improved relationships at work and at home.

FAQs

Classes are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, every other weekend, with a one-hour lunch break at noon (we provide lunch).

You’ll need at least eight years of work experience and five years of management experience. Our average student has about 18 years of experience.

We don’t require the GMAT.

Neeley’s program costs $120,000 total, broken up into five payments of $23,500, plus an initial deposit of $2,500 to reserve your place in class when you first accept your admission offer. Our students finance their educations in a variety of ways, often using a combination of student loans, employer sponsorship and scholarships. Learn more.

It varies for every class. Previous destinations have included the UK, Germany, China, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Panama, Morocco, Spain, Greece, Dubai, India, Sweden, Hungary, and South Africa. The two-week trip includes business visits, meetings with government and economic development officials, and cultural experiences designed to give you an appreciation for the opportunities and challenges in the global business environment.

  • Attend a preview luncheon. Lunch is on us at this mini-class hosted by one of our professors. You’ll get a taste of what it’s like in the Neeley classroom every weekend.
  • Sit in on a class. If you want more than a taste, sit in on a real class for half a day – that includes a campus tour, lunch with current students and faculty, and time in a real class session.
  • Talk with an alum. Pick the brain of someone who’s already been through it all.
