Josey Whitaker ’26 graduated in May with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and continues her journey in Neeley pursuing her master’s degree in accounting (MAc). Whitaker, who credits her experience at Neeley with helping her develop the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to prepare for the next chapter of her career.

“The discipline, time management, and resilience I've built as a student-athlete are things I'll carry into any career path. Neeley has given me the business foundation to complement that work ethic, and I hope to bring both into the accounting industry after graduation,” said Whitaker, pointing to Accounting Instructor Amy Troutman’s mentorship as a defining part of her student experience.Morgan Williams poses during beach volleyball competition.

Morgan Williams is a senior majoring in finance and accounting and part of the John V. Roach Honors College. As a member of the TCU beach volleyball team, she said earning Big 12 academic honors is a reminder of the community that has supported her throughout her academic and athletic journey.

“Neeley and TCU Athletics have already had a huge impact on who I am and I know that will continue long after I graduate. My professors have always been willing to help and have gone beyond just the classroom, mentoring and supporting me through the demands of being a student-athlete,” Williams said. “Both Neeley and TCU Athletics have instilled in me a strong work ethic, confidence, and passion that I plan to bring into my future career.”

Dominic Byles, a senior accounting major and member of the men’s track and field team, said his student-athlete experience at Neeley has prepared him to lead both professionally and in service to others.

“I hope to carry the lessons I’ve learned at Neeley and as a student-athlete by modeling what it means to be a responsible global citizen and giving back to the communities that I’ve been a part of. I want to be consistent in the habits I’ve formed and continue to lead by example, as well as pour into younger scholars to help develop future leaders as TCU has done with me.”

For these student-athletes, the honors represent more than success in the classroom. They reflect the persistence, balance and commitment required to excel academically while competing at the highest collegiate level.
