The Management & Leadership department explores how individuals and organizations lead, collaborate and perform. Faculty research examines strategy, behavior and decision-making, providing insight into how leaders create impact in complex environments.

About the Department

Faculty research and teaching focus on how leaders navigate complexity, align teams and improve organizational performance through critical thinking, behavioral insight, leadership development, problem-solving and strategic decision-making. Applied learning experiences help students translate ideas and analysis into effective organizational practice.

Study Management & Leadership at Neeley

Management & Leadership focuses on how organizations operate and how leaders guide people, processes and resources in dynamic environments. Students develop the analytical and interpersonal skills needed to navigate complexity, solve organizational problems and lead teams effectively. Coursework emphasizes both understanding the field and applying that knowledge through experiential learning.

Leadership Opportunities

Students expand leadership and management skills through organizations and immersive learning experiences that connect classroom concepts with real-world application.

The Management Club connects students with peers, alumni and business leaders through networking, events and professional development opportunities focused on leadership and management careers. The BNSF Neeley Leadership Program develops leadership skills through cohort-based learning, mentorship and experiential leadership challenges.
