Video Guidelines
- Think of the video as a cover letter in a more personal format — your chance to add energy, personality and context to your application.
- Consider how you would answer “Tell me about yourself” in a way that reflects who you are and how you align with Neeley Fellows.
- Use the time to highlight meaningful experiences and explain why you would be a strong fit.
- There’s no single right way to structure your video. Choose an approach that feels natural to you.
- Whatever structure you choose, aim to tell a story — not repeat your résumé.
- Submit one recommendation through the application platform
- Choose a recommender who can speak to your strengths and potential as it relates to fit for Neeley Fellows
- Ensure the recommendation is submitted by the application deadline
Program FAQ
You do not need to be currently enrolled in the Honors College to apply to Neeley Fellows. While Honors College participation is considered as part of a holistic review process, students are selected based on a range of academic, leadership and personal factors. In fact, each year Neeley Fellows admits students who were not previously enrolled in the Honors College. Those students may choose to reapply during their sophomore year.
Applicants may only apply to one cohort-based program, such as Neeley Fellows or the BNSF Neeley Leadership Program.
Applicants cannot have taken courses included in the Neeley Fellows curriculum at TCU or another institution. Courses that most commonly create conflicts include Fundamentals of Accounting, Marketing Management, Financial Management, Business Information Systems, Global Business with an Ethical Lens, and Organization Behavior and Strategy. Consult with your academic advisor and review the curriculum overview before enrolling in courses that could affect eligibility.
